Inspired by Lynne Twist’s books, I went literally off the grid, deep inside the Amazon rainforest to meet the indigenous tribes and learn about their way of living. It was a physical, mental and practical challenge on many levels and turned out to be a life-altering adventure that reinforced the urgency and importance of protecting the rainforest and empowering its indigenous people.
