A 2-day conference. In Paris. For language teachers interested in using coaching tools to enhance their teaching practice. Packed with enlightening talks, workshops and panel discussions focused on methodology. And I’ll also be there, attending and talking about what language coaches can do to make sure they show up in the online universe where potential clients are searching for what they offer. Because it’s our duty to show up for those who’d need us most. Here’s the gist of what I’m planning to talk about.
You can be the best language coach ever, and spend thousands of pounds on professional development and attaining prestigious titles and accolades. But without a systematic approach to attracting clients, no matter how dedicated you are to your passion, you’re doomed!
It’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to market yourself on any and every social platform you can think of. The pressure is real. The overwhelm that comes with it is inevitable.
That’s why I want to shift my colleagues’ focus to one (of only two!) online platforms that a language coach can be in full control of. The platform that can turn anonymous visitors into paying clients 24/7 – if set up well. An asset that no one can take away from you. That platform is your website.
I want to address
- why social is important but not the be-all and end-all
- why content is king and how language coaches can produce top-quality content easily, without overwhelm
- the gist of SEO for language coaches (it really is not rocket science!)
- a solution for when famine hits: how to fill the gaps in the calendar, fast
I refuse to speak the alienating tech jargon of the marketing world. After all, I’m a language coach myself, with a nag to find the easiest and least overwhelming ways to market my business. And I found some hacks and shortcuts to reach more of my potential clients online. I’ll share with the attendees the ones that make the biggest difference in my businesses, in 2023.
